Now before any of you go off and judge me based upon the title of this post - please let me explain...
I was so exhausted that I went to bed immediately after watching Deadliest Catch and After the Catch last night. (Both were super sad - BTW.) Usually it takes me a good twenty to thirty minutes to fall asleep - but not last night. I was so tired that I drifted into an incredibly deep sleep almost immediately.
So you can imagine my surprise when midsleep I felt myself being hoisted out of the bed. One second I am sound asleep, the next I feel my entire upper body being raised from my pillow. Startled, I opened my eyes to find my husband's arms wrapped around my shoulders and waist. What the...okay maybe he wants a little late night....
That thought was quickly interrupted when hubby slammed me back down onto the bed. He then leaned over me and whispered into my ear, "That's right - I told you I would be king!" WHAT THE?!?!?
"Steven" I questioned, "what are you doing!?!" "Racing and wrestling", he replied. Realizing that sleeping in the bed next to a man who was obviously acting out some dream about racing and wrestling might become rather dangerous, I decided it was best to wake him up.
I gave him a quick shake and his eyes opened with a look of confusion and concern. "Did I wake you", he asked. "Umm..yeah - you kind of body slammed me tough guy." "Oh - sorry, I was having some crazy dreams." To which the only response I could think of was, "You don't say?!?!"
A quick glance at the clock confirmed it was 4:00 am - so I rolled over and willed myself back to sleep. Thankfully hubby's motor skills and strength were significantly diluted in his unconscious state - otherwise that body slam might have done some real damage!
I really shouldn't complain. I'm the worst person to sleep with in the world - I snore, steal the covers and have a major tendency to drool (yes - I just admitted that.) So I guess I can put up with hubby's late night role playing every once in a while - maybe next time he'll be a fireman or Edward Cullen. :)

That's is too funny! My hubby talks in his sleep...well he moans loudly in his sleep.
Thanks for the laugh!
That is hilarious!! I'm glad he didn't hurt you though!
Wow! That is hysterical. :) I'm a pretty bad bedfellow too - I steal covers and curse in my sleep. Maybe he shouldn't watch too many exciting shows before bed!
Oh that is amazing! lol See & all my hubs does is drool, play baseball & sleep with his elbow on my head & his hand tucked under his chin like he's "thinking". (oh and speak in spanish in his dreams.) lol But it's sorta cute when i'm not getting woken up to a blow to the head. lol
wow that is hilarious!! I can't even imagine! LOL...!
That is SOOOO funny! Thanks for the laugh!
That is HILARIOUS!!! Thank goodness either of you weren't hurt!!! One time in my sleep I ran across Damon in the bed, straight OFF the bed into the WALL! Cut my chin a good one and never did remember what on earth I was dreaming about..guess someone was chasing me in my sleep..lol!
Soooo freaking funny!!! Love it:-)
you must go by burger king and get him a crown and put on his pillow!
HAHA! What a funny story! Good thing you weren't hurt!!

So nice to meet you!
Oh my! That is a story that you will have to tell the rest of your life!
That is absolutly hilarious!! At least you were okay!
Hahaha! This seriously had me laughing out loud...too funny!
Maybe have him watch Twilight with you before bed one night and he might turn into Edward Cullen in his dreams :)
LOL! Oh my! I think I'd have handled that much worse than you!
One time, I got up to go to the bathroom, and from behind me, my husband's hand shot out, grabbed my at-the-time long pony tail, and yanked me back into bed - completely in his own sleep! I almost hit him, until I realized he was so out of it!
OMG that is so scary...but also funny!
Z had some crazy sleepwalking/talking/acting when he got home from Iraq. It completely freaked me out!
Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! My husband also has a tendency to do crazy things in his sleep, so I can sympathize. The wildest thing thus far is him waking up screaming wildly and he once woke up swinging punches (yes, scary!)... oh crazy dreams!
HAHAHA! That sounds like something my crazy-sleeper-of-a-husband would do too. I understand why married couples used to sleep in separate beds ;)
That is beyond hysterical and a little bit scary! I know they say to never wake a sleep walker, Were you afraid to wake him?
Every once in a while my husband pees in his sleep...as in stands up, whips it out and pees. Most of the time its in a corner somewhere but I caught him trying to pee on my head once. He got his ass woken up really fast.
Ha! That's great! Maybe you should wear a seat belt to bed?? So glad to know that I'm not the only one who doesn't look like a soap star when I'm asleep ;-) Hope you have a fabulous weekend planned! Hugs, ~K
ahahahaha, I'll never forget the time my husband punched me in the face while I was sleeping, I got a backhand to the nose! I was so sore for a couple of days I was sure he had broken it! Another time I woke up to a bloody scratch several inches down my leg....we have since gotten a bigger bed, and he wonders why I pillow blocade him!
