I'm Just Sayin' Came Back To Bite Me In The......

Sorry for not posting Eat It. Work It. Blog It. yesterday.  I had another test this morning and my time has been seriously limited over the last 48 hours in preparation. Thankfully it's over and I'm back to blogging as usual.  :)

Remember this disclaimer below from my I'm Just Sayin' post last Thursday:
*I also feel the need to say that by no means do I intend to offend any of my readers. Please take these comments in jest, as they are intended. Just little pet peeves of mine that I choose to poke fun at each week. If you are guilty of the actions I mention, I don't think you are a horrible person and I do not mean to offend. I am *positive* that I am guilty of annoying people on a daily basis and I am sure there are plenty of people who have lots to "Just Say" about me. Again - these posts are truly meant as light hearted rants about my every day annoyances.
Well - I was right.  A reader left an anonymous comment stating:
Omg I know what you're sayin' about facebook!! I hate when my news feed is filled up with where people are checking in. Especially at the gym. Stop trying to make me feel bad! I don't care where you are. I should come rob your house.
Ummm......Ummmm......Ummmm.......

*GUILTY*

I "check in" to CrossFit Charlotte  every time that I am there.  Every time.  In my defense - it's the only place that I "check in" at - but still, I check in there about 5 times a week.

I'm  not so sure why actually.  Something about it feels empowering.  Like I'm sticking to my goals, getting in my super tough workout for the day and I feel like sharing it with my 600+ friends on FB.  (Maybe the anonymous person who called me self absorbed was right??)

But apparently that annoys some people - and rightfully so I assume.

So now all of you readers who have been offended by one of my comments on my I'm Just Sayin' posts can have a nice little laugh because my rants came back to bite me in my own you-know-what.

Somewhat poetic, eh??

PS - I'm almost positive this "anonymous" reader is actually a real life friend of mine.  Possibly one of my friends I was talking about that use all lowercase letters and improper punctuation in their FB statuses?  Trying to even the score?  Calling me out on my own blog - how dare you!  :)

hahaha! that's about how it would pan out for me =) I do enjoy the Just Sayin' rants though and in the event that I don't agree (which hasn't happened lol) I know that it is just where you are coming from =)
I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday -- it is almost Friday Eve!

I don't get the check in thing on FB either. I think it is pretty crazy that people post where they are and all that, yet I bet some of these people would tell some of their friends to stop stalking their every move.

It is also cause for concern like the anonymous poster said...what if someone said, hmm let me go rob their house since they aren't home or something else? We live in a crazy world.

haha I just hate when people tag me in their check-ins! I don't need people knowing where I am while I there... just afterwards when it no longer is stalkable hahaha

still LOVE I'm Just Sayin'

People get so upset over the littlest things. I liked your just saying post. It's your blog and your own opinions. Everybody has pet peeves and things that irritate them why get mad that someone else does as well. Oh well. Love your blog blogger bff

Lol! Wow. Just wow! I can't believe someone would do that!!

I don't think it's annoying when people "check in"... What's the difference in taking a picture on your phone, uploading it and adding the "I'm here" caption? *shrug* I feel that FB is the sort of the same as a blog. It's my space, where I share whatever the heck I want to. =)

I LOVE THIS!!!

I check in to places too and if people don't like it, they can remove me from their friends or remove me from their news feed. Simple as that! People get so upset about Facebook stuff that all I can do is laugh at them and feel sorry for them that there is nothing important enough worth getting really upset about.

Have a great evening sweetie!

Haha that is so funny. I don't ever use the check in thing. It kind of makes me paranoid!

Don't sweat the small stuff girly! :) Do what you want girl! It's your life, your facebook, and the check-in thing is there for a reason. Tell your friend to take it up with Mark Z. :)

Maybe the comment was innocent?!? I try to think that people are usually nice and I feel as women we can over analyze. Hopefully "anonymous" wasn't trying to call you out but I guess humility isn't such a bad thing every now and then. Love your blog. Hope you have a great end of the week.

LOL. I just found your blog and love it already. I'm also guilty of the "check-ins" and I am just now realizing that people find it annoying... eep! Anyway, you have a new follower!

That's funny, I don't check in because I don't want people to know where I am....what if my crazy x somehow found out I was at Dance By Sherri.....or where I work....NO THANK YOU...those that need to know where I am already do...they don't need to check facebook...

But..I don't think bad when you check in at Cross Fit Charlotte....I do get annoyed at the people (not you) that check in everywhere they go...the school, work, the store, home, the bathroom..(okay not really the bathroom)you get my point.

I really --- really like the "just sayin'" posts..ignore anonymous rude person!
