Please forgive me for being a horrible blogger and posting the answers to your questions a day late. I had a jam packed weekend and a super crazy day at the office yesterday. Thank-you to everyone who submitted questions. There were so many that I thought it would be a good idea to answer the questions over two days. Today I will focus on the questions that are specific to just me and my preferences. Tomorrow I will answer the questions that focus on my relationship with Steven.
So here goes...
Whitney at Everything Happens For A Reason asks...
Where do you see yourselves in 5 years? 10 years? This is really such a tough question. Because if you asked me that question five or ten years ago – I certainly wouldn’t have seen myself where I am today. One thing is for sure – I plan to be a mother within the next five years. I hope that I will either already have two kids or at least one with another on the way. I really want to be a young mom and I would like to be done having by the time I am 30.
Other than that – I can’t really say. There are quite a few possibilities on the horizon for us. A lot of “what if’s” and “could be’s” so it’s just really too difficult to try and make a prediction about where we will be. I’m not even sure if I think we’ll be living in Charlotte two to three years from now.
Oh wow…I’m all stressed out now. :)
What is your favorite food?
It’s difficult to narrow it down to one specific food – but I can easily narrow it down to a type of food – MEXICAN! I love Mexican food! We eat tacos, fajitas, nachos or Mexican casseroles every week – sometimes two and three times a week.

What are your go to items for summer? Hairstyle, accessories, makeup, clothes, etc! :)
It might surprise some of my readers who don’t know me too well, but I’m not a very “girly girl” when it comes to fashion. Don’t get me wrong – I enjoy getting dressed up and shopping – but I don’t tend to stay up on the latest trends and fashion. Unfortunately, trendy clothes do not generally flatter my body type. So I tend to stick with a more traditional style.
I do however LOVE cotton skirts during the summer. My thighs are by far my least favorite body part – so I stay as far away from shorts as possible. Flowing cotton skirts allow me to stay cool, comfortable and cute on hot summer days. I also love a good ponytail. I like to play around with the ponytail to make it look more sophisticated and feminine – a good “poof” or swept to the side bangs does just the trick.
Khristi from Blonde AND Smart asks
If you could vacation any where in the world, where would you go?
It depends on the type of vacation I am taking. For a tropical, beach vacation I would have to choose Fiji. Steven and I recently discovered that we love to scuba dive and I think it would be an amazing experience to dive in the reefs off the coast of beautiful Fiji.
If I were taking a more cultural vacation, I would choose Italy/Greece without a doubt. The people, food, and culture of that area are so inviting and festive. I’m hoping that somehow Steven and I can make the trip before we have kids.
Karren over at A Bee And His Honey would like to know
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you want to live?
Again, I would choose Greece. The culture and people seem so inviting and relaxed. I just want a laid back way of living.
Brittany at Simplicity in Baltimore asks
What's your favorite place to shop?
Target or TJ Maxx. Like I said, I’m not incredibly with it when it comes to the latest fashion do’s and don’ts – I feel pretty confident that anything I get from either Target or TJ Maxx will be worthy addition to my wardrobe. Plus – you know me – I love a good deal!
What's your guilty pleasure?
Reality TV would definitely be a guilty pleasure of mine. Most of the time it’s pure smut and my husband constantly makes fun of me or chastises me for “watching that crap” – but I just can’t help it. Sometimes seeing the craziness of other’s lives make me feel a little bit better about everything that I have going on.
Best beauty tip?
Drink plenty of water. It sounds crazy – but it truly makes the biggest difference in your appearance from head to toe. Proper hydration prevents dark circles and breakouts. It helps you avoid dry skin and irritation. It also aids in regulation of your water weight which decreases the effects of bloating. I can truly tell a difference in my skin and appearance when I do not drink enough water.

Why did you start blogging?
I started my blog as a way to share mine and Steven’s adventure as newlyweds with our friends and family. I never expected that complete and total strangers would stop by and read what I have to say. I just wanted an easy way to communicate with friends and family – but being a blogger has turned out to be an experience I never imagined it would be. I absolutely love it.
What's your favorite memory from childhood?
Christmas was always a time that I looked forward to as a child. My mother is an only child which meant that my Nana (maternal grandmother) would always stay with us on Christmas eve and she always slept with me. I remember the feelings of excitement and happiness of spending each holiday with my family. Now that both of my grandmothers have passed away, it’s something I cherish more than I can explain.
Who were you in high school: miss popular, geeky, nerdy, etc? (A fun question, no?)
This is also a tough question to answer. I moved to a new school my sophomore year of high school. As a result, I really never developed a “persona”. Franklin was a rather small high school and community. While I wasn't exactly “Miss Popular” everyone knew me and was friendly enough. I definitely wasn’t the bad girl or rebel. I graduated with a 4.0 – but I don’t think I was exactly “nerdy”. High school was just really strange for me. I don’t think I truly came into my own and developed an identity I was comfortable with until college.
Mrs. Muffins asks
Most healthy habit. Worst habit?
My most healthy habit has always been my water consumption. I drink water non-stop throughout the day. I always have. I rarely drink anything other than water. I also take an Omega 3 supplement every day. I wish I could say I have an insane workout schedule or that I have an amazing diet – but I’m just not there yet. So I stick to the little things. :)
My worst habit would have to be my love for junk food. Although I am learning to curb my cravings and tell myself no more often than I used to, I still reach for sweets or junk food carbs more often than I should. I’m learning though!
Thanks again to everyone who played along. Stop by tomorrow for the juicy details about my marriage with hubby. Someone actually wants know if I fart in front of Steven....this should be interesting! :)
