Top Two Tuesday - Randomness

When I saw the topic for Taylor's Top Two Tuesday - I just couldn't help but play along this week.  I love randomness.  I'm the queen of random - to the point where it's obnoxious - or at least according to my husband it is.  So let's see two completely random factoids about me....

1. I had a mullet when I was five.  That's right - you heard me.  Remember, I'm from Alabama - Southern Alabama to be exact.  It was 1990 and I was in kindergarten - apparently mullets were in style.  Does anyone remember crimping?  My mom thought it would be super cute to crimp
my mullet for my kindergarten pictures.  There I was - missing my front teeth with HUGE bangs and a crimped mullet.  It's a miracle I don't have serious mental issues (or more than I already have - that is!)

2.  I hate the taste of 7Up.  It makes me think of being sick when I was little - it makes me think of throw-up.  It makes me want to throw up.  OMG - my mouth is watering just typing this sentence.  I can drink Sprite and Ginger Ale (strange, I know) - but something about 7Up seriously makes my stomach do a flip.  I hate to throw up - in my opinion it's the worst sickness possible!

What are two random facts about you!?!?

Can you please post a picture of this mullet?!?! Haha!!

I like 7up...but only when I am sick...it helps alleviate my "tummy ache!"

I loved crimping my hair back in the day! I don't think I have any pictures though... thank goodness! I love 7-Up but I have a few things like that... it just brings back wierd/bad memories!

hahahah and may we see pictures of this mullet? love it. :)

and 7up is nasty...i'm with ya on that one.

I am exactly the same way with 7up. I have only had it when I am sick so now thats what I feel when I drink it. It is awful!

PS my mom liked to perm my hair as a child. It really was traumatizing LOL

I'm with everyone - post a picture of the mullet. And i'm not a big 7up fan either. Also - pepto bismol. Once when I was 5, I threw it up all over my parents bed. That is actually the last time I threw up - yes 22 years ago. THANK GOODNESS because nothing freaks me out more than puke. So that's probably my random fact. Haven't thrown up in 22 years.

I don't like 7up either. I don't drink soda anymore. I haven't in a long time. I drink ale8 1 & sprite when I am sick but thats it.

Oh how funny! I'm so glad you did a Top 2 Tuesday!
I can do 7up, but I can't touch Sprite... That was my mom's choice for when I was sick-- and it does the exact same thing to me! *Blech*

As for the mullet, at least you had some length to your hair, my mom hated doing hair- so I got stuck with short hair until I was old enough to do it myself (in her eyes, middle school). Ugh.. I'd rather have a mullet than to be teased for looking like a boy!

Happy Tuesday!

Oh geez, I had somewhat of a mullet too. I was born in Cali and currently live here, but we lived in Arkansas for a bit while my dad was in the military!

P.S. I added a modified version of my Enchilada Casserole for you :) You asked and it made me curious!

Ha ha ha that's awesome! I used to crimp my ahir, and cringe when I look back on photos:-) But hey it's cute right?

I'm totally random too and it drives my hubby crazy!!!

1. I'm a Southern girl too (I live outside of Memphis), and my cousin actually prides herself that all 3 of her sons have had mullets. The youngest was Joe Dirt for Halloween (no costume necessary). They think it's just the funniest thing ever. Bringing my husband (then boyfriend) to our first family holiday was interesting to say the least.

2. I can't eat bagel bites (those little things that are pizza on mini-bagels) for the same reason. I associate them with getting sick when I was a kid, so just the thought makes me queasy.

Oh PLEASE tell me you have that mullet picture and will be posting it soon! You just can't leave us hanging with that description and no picture! :)

I hate 7Up too! My mom blames herself b/c she drank it the entire time she was pregnant with me!

Isn't it funny what our mothers did to us? My mom tried to dress me and my brother like twins, the sad part is there are pictures of us when we were really little that unless you know my hair was blond and his brown you wouldn't be able to tell us apart, we had the same hair cuts! I'M A GIRL! LOL

As far as the 7up goes - I don't like it either! I won't toss my cookies over it, but if that is the only thing to drink, I will go without!

Oh come on...you cannot tell us about the mullet and not post a picture! I had a rat-tail when I was little so I feel your pain haha!

I LOVE 7-up!!!! I don't really drink pop but if I do it is 7-up or Sprite.

Sorry - mispelled a word, so yes I deleted that one, but here is what it said - just to let you know I was not being ugly!

I am going to find that picture and post it on my page so your friends can see it, and I will link to it too - ha ha!
Now please make note that your dad wanted it cut over your ears, not your mom. And at the time it was not called a mullet.

And yes you were adorable! That is still one of my favorite pictures of you. I don't hang it up in the house because of how bad your husband makes fun of you. I have a word for him - ha ha!

Now for your next post on the crazy, big hairbows and side ponytails that your mom loved to style on you!

Hah! Agree with everyone, you totally need to post the pic.

1 - When I was in 4th grade, I got a total boy haircut - like a bowl cut. People thought I was a boy for a good 3 months. Traumatic. I'm from Cleveland so not really sure what my excuse is!

2 - I like ginger ale, but I literally ONLY drink it when I'm on a plane. And its usually the ONLY drink I order on plane.
