My 101 in 1001

Finally!  I have seen many bloggers create a "101 in 1001" list which is sponsored by The Day Zero Project.  The general idea is that you create a list of 101 things you would like to accomplish in 1001 days.  I have been working on this list for two weeks now.  It's very difficult to determine 101 things you want to do that you actually think you can accomplish within 2.75 years.

And you know me...I'm a tad on the anal retentive side so I had to separate my lists into categories - to make sure that my goals were evenly spaced amongst practical and just for fun.

My start day official begins tomorrow - September 4th, 2010.  My final day to complete my goals will be May 31st, 2012.

So without further ado....here is my list and here's hoping I am able to mark off each and every item on my list over the next 2.75 years!

Check back often - as you can see I intend to write blog entry each time I accomplish one of my goals.  I'm also working on creating a button so I can hyperlink my list on my sidebar.  But I'm incredibly tech challenged so this may take me a few days!

Do any of you have a 101 in 1001 list?  Has any completed the challenge?  Considering taking the challenge?  Let me know - I would love to read your goals and track your progress as well!

Here's hoping you have a great, safe Labor Day weekend!!!

I have seen so many people making these lists. You have inspired me to start a list of my own. THANKS!!! Referring to your goal about the half marathon you can defiantly meet your goal. I have fun quite a few half marathons and have use a modified Hal Higdon's plan each time and it really prepared me! I wish you nothing but the best of luck!

I want to do a list now! I think making a goal to have these things done in 2.75 years is much more do-able rather than having a "bucket list" which is essentially, just before you die. Gosh, that sounds horrible but you know...

Excellent!! I started my 101 last April and it's really nice to set goals and aspirations. I need to UPDATE my list as I've accomplished a lot in the past few months!!

Happy Weekend, Amber!

Looks like a great list! I think you're so smart to come up with some things that are do-able, and some things that are a stretch. Can't wait to see you accomplish some of these things!

How sad is it that even creating a list seems like a daunting task to me?! ha! I'm proud of you for getting your priorities down on paper. I have faith you can complete them! baby steps... :)

Hey! I started a 101 Things list month ago, but had no idea it was from The Day Zero Project. I think I'll register my list at that website, too! Good Luck! I have really enjoyed keeping up with mine. You will be amazed how much your friends and family will be willing to help you accomplish your goals once you post them for the world to see! =)

This is awesome! I can't wait to see these things unfold for you!!!!

Make sure you can identify South Dakota on the map, in case you are ever "in the area" so you can come visit me :)

OMG....I love your list! I think I am going to have to consider making a 101 in 1001, but maybe I should try mastering this whole blogging thing first. Come to Oregon for a visit and we could take care of several items on your list....make crepes, make a desert from scratch, dance in the rain, go CAMPING, go berry picking, I would LOVE a second tatoo, we could hand cut you a Christmas tree (but I don't know about getting it home).... Those are just a few things Oregon has to offer and then you would definitely be able to name it on a map. Seriously, you love football and the Braves, I love you more and more every day....lol A girl after my own heart! I hope you have the best holiday weekend ever! Hugs my friend!

Wow, these are quite the goals!! I would never even have thought of half the items on your list. Especially anything to do with physical fitness :) I'm all about yoga and swimming, but I really should incorporate other exercises into my routine.

Have an amazing weekend!!

This is such a great list and a great idea. I could never imagine actually completing 101 things in 1001 days. It seems so difficult to me.
My personal favorite is “Play the piano” in a scandalous place. I also thought showing grace when it is undeserved was very original.
I am going to make that my weekend goal. Maybe, if I succeed, I will start making a 101 in 1001 list... maybe.

Oh my goodness! I love your list (and share so many of your goals)! I've been wanting to do one of these (although it's a little daunting). I'm hoping to do one soon (or something similar.. trying to decide if would rather do "bigger" goals and have 30 before 30). Btw- did you say you live in NC (I want to say I remember you saying Charlotte)? My family lives about an hour from there in Elkin, if you've ever heard of it!

I'm gonna have to do this later. And I def need to master the smoky eye look. I can't do it at all - it just looks like someone hit me in the face.

PS - I'm emailing you later, but I think we might use the $20 and get a bigger print!

Your list is great. I love that you made categories...

I started my 101 last January. I've been lazy for some months now, letting it idle for some time, but I'm back in the saddle, now...
