If I Were...

I’ve seen so many people do this and thought, wow what a great idea. This will be a cute, quick post to do mid-week. Wow – was a I wrong!! As always, I overthought my answers and it has taken me forever to determine what I would be and why. Agh…the complexities of my inner workings!!! Hope you enjoy!!!

If I were a month, I’d be June. I’m a summer girl – I was a June bride.

If I were a day of the week, I’d be Sunday. Church with the family in the morning, because faith and family are pivotal to who I am.

If I were a time of day, I’d be happy hour. Not necessarily for the boozing – but because of the excitement in knowing your off the clock and time is yours to enjoy as you please.

I were a planet, I’d be Earth. It's the only place that's livable!

If I were a sea animal, I’d be a sea turtle. Steady, wise and long lasting.

If I were a direction, I’d be south. No matter where I may go, I’m always drawn back to the South, my home.

If I were a piece of furniture, I’d be a dining room table. Gather friends and family around me, share your secrets, tell your sad stories, I’m here to listen.

If I were a liquid, I’d be water. Nourishing, accessible to anyone, fresh.

If I were a tree, I’d be the Dogwood. A perfect tribute to the Southern way of life.

If I were a tool, I’d be a level. I enjoy helping others determine if their lives are straight.

If I were a kind of weather, I’d be the respite just before a storm. Often beautiful, ever changing, and hard to predict.

If I were a musical instrument, I’d be a piano. If played correctly, beautiful and inspirational. But hit a wrong key and I can be ear piercing and harsh.

If I were a color, I’d be hot pink. Bright, confident and sometimes out of place.

If I were an emotion, I’d be awe. Consistently struck with gratitude and inspired by the people who surround me.

If I were a fruit, I’d be a strawberries. Great in any situation. Spruce me up and cover me in Godiva chocolate. Keep it simple as strawberry shortcake – I’m comfortable in many situations.

If I were a flower, I’d be a pink gerber daisy. Simple, tasteful and cheerful.

If I were a sound, I’d be a sigh. Sometime a sign of contentment, others a sign of frustration. Many meanings – difficult to interpret.

If I were an element, I’d be gold. Valuable, moldable, rare.

If I were a car, I’d be my American made Chevy Malibu, LTZ. Classy and stylish like a foreign model, but a little more practical and affordable – sticking to where I come from.

If I were a food, I’d be potatoes. Inexpensive with multiple uses – always yummy!

If I were a gemstone, I’d be a blue sapphire. The stone of loyalty and fidelity - two traits I hold in high regard.
If I were a material, I’d be cotton. Dependable, comfortable, inexpensive.

If I were a taste, I’d be savory. Complex, satisfying, bold.

If I were a place, I’d be the beach. Inviting and enjoyable.

If I were a scent, I’d be the smell of dust from a peanut field after it has rained – exotic in it’s own way and something very few people truly appreciate.

If I were a body part, I’d be the eyes. Take it all in, constantly looking and inquiring, never settled.
If I were an object, I’d be an old school planner. Organized, well planned and constantly filled with way too many appointments!

If I were a facial expression, I’d be a smirk. Sarcastic, challenging, sometimes irritating.

If I were a song, I’d be She’s Everything by Brad Paisley.

If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be a pair open toed three inch wedges. A little more practical than stilettos, but still trendy and fun.

What would you be, if you were????

Loved this post! So sorry to hear about your Grandma! I've yet to lose a grandparent and can not imagine the day that I do and how difficult that day and the days to follow that will be. I appreciate your sweet comments on the loss of my Aunt!
